Team Lean is a Barrow County cooperative between the YMCA and Barrow Regional Medical Center. Nurse Michele Clark and Kelly Phelps, an intern from UGA, came each week to weigh-in our twenty five student participants. Below are our "Biggest Losers" and student reflections:

I saw team lean as an opportunity to get out and be more active with fellow classmates and at the same time make healthy choices that benefit me by getting out and having some fun- Jordan cabanlit

2. What have you learned from your experience with Team Lean?
I have learned that there are plenty of fun ways to get out and be healthy and lose weight by doing small things that interest you and benefit you and dont even seem like a big change in your daily life- jordan cabanlit
I've learned that I had some health problems and the different ways that a person can lose weight by doing things that aren't strict. - Danny Vang
That some of the things I eat and do for exercise don't do as much for me as I thought they did and I learned better ways to stay healthy and maintain a better weight. - Olivia Kelly
I learned that you can eat healthy and the food still be good. Also I learned how to work with a team a little bit more and motivate others.-Chelsy Bird
I have learned that not all of the food we eat is bad for us, but we need to eat less of it and not large quantity's, and the less soft soda you drink will help you a lot, so instead of drinking soft or hard soda, just drink water - phillip mcmurtrie
