As a student body, we viewed the video, Food, Inc.

We:
- discussed the food industry from a variety of perspectives
- considered how much information we get and how much we would like to get
- debated the responsibility issue in terms of gaining information about what we eat
- talked about food borne illnesses like e-coli and how current practices impact their spread
- agreed that those responsible for this video can be considered "muckrakers," much like Upton Sinclair when he wrote The Jungle
- learned about genetically modified seeds and discussed the pros and cons of this practice
- examined the advantages and disadvantages of individual versus collective action in terms of making a difference
